I can guarantee one thing: Sasquatch will not pull a Langerado.

A handful of big names overlap with Bonnaroo, but that's not a bad thing considering how far apart they are from each other: Sasquatch is in Washington state and Bonnaroo (lineup) is in Tennessee. Both still have more artists to add, but already it seems like both are upgraded from last year. I don't think Bonnaroo can be called a jam band festival anymore, but it's a wee bit more chill than its intensely indie counterpart. West Coast, start rounding up the troops.

The lineup is packed full of big names and great accompanying artists. Metallica and Kanye are gone this year (YES!), and Phish is bringing back Bonnaroo as a jam band festival, doing two shows over the four days.  It could use a dosage of hip-hop though, so hopefully that comes with the next announcement (last year I got front row for Lupe Fiasco and Talib Kweli followed - needless to say it was a highlight of the festival). Other than that, the lineup is spectacular. We'll let you know when more artists get announced.

A snippet of an Of Montreal live show really doesn't do them justice, but all that wishing and hoping you've been doing about them coming to a town near you is either over as they've added a whoollee bunch of tour dates around the globe in support of Skeletal Lamping, or you can shrug it off and just settle for that live DVD they are planning to release. Frontman Kevin Barnes spoke to Rock Daily about the production: "We've filmed two shows, a show from L.A. from last year's Hissing Fauna tour and we filmed one a month ago in Atlanta, so we do have plans to release a pretty comprehensive DVD with all the videos and two full live performances and documentary material as well."

According to a recent Rolling Stone interview with Kevin Barnes, their debut LP is "probably gonna be a pretty schizophrenic, crazy album". Should we expect anything else from these two? They are planning to enlist the skills of producer Jon Brion, who has worked on projects with the likes of Kanye West, Aimee Man, Dido, Spoon, Keane, and Elliott Smith.

Barnes admitted that they have been wanting to do the project for a while, but have been waiting for both of their schedules to be clear. That might be a problem considering the success of MGMT's Oracular Spectacular and of Montreal's Skeletal Lamping, which both happen to be in the running for Music Leech Top 25 Albums of the Year (slated to come out around the new year).

Although they have "actually created about 20 minutes of music" so far, the apparent releases from Blikk Fang over at Pure Volume are nothing but outdated songs from MGMT and of Montreal and will not be on the upcoming album.

HEARTFAST, the Japanese label behind the Tunde Adebimpe solo disc we just told you about, now has another big name to add to their résumé.

On November 25 Of Montreal will release a 7"/DVD combo called "Cause We Were Virgins to Your Kisses" that features an alternate version of their M.I.A. "Jimmy" cover and an original track entitled "Middle Class Ghetto". Additionally packaged is video footage from the band's 2007 tour plus the sweet artwork above.

The band's insane Skeletal Lamping tour picks back up in Atlanta on November 8. See if they're coming to a city near you, then just prepare yourself.
