Presented by Diplo’s Mad Decent label, Free Gucci is a 15-track remix CD of the recently re-jailed Gucci Mane. It features Flying Lotus, Memory Tapes, SALEM, and Brodinski among others, remixing tracks from Gucci’s “Cold War” mixtape series. As can be expected with any mixtape, there are some disappointments (in the Flying Lotus track especially), but as a whole it’s a must-have if you like any of the above musicians.

I don’t know anything about either of these bands, but that doesn’t matter. What does is that if you want some Justice D.A.N.C.E.-like electro-pop to fuel you, listen to this. I don’t know much about Maxwell but this track is pretty freakin good. The original appeared on Maxwell’s BLACKsummers’night, but this is a new one done for the RED initiative. It’s the same for the most part except with Nas coming in with a verse near the end.
