Electronic/dubstep duo Mount Kimbie add their own backdrop to one of the xx's slower, more simple tunes "Basic Space". You'd almost think this was a publicity stunt or something because of the success of the xx, but it works a lot better than you might expect, creating a sort of parallel listening experience. The core of the song is still there (the lyrics and the mood), the atmosphere is what changes. This song would fit perfectly in an xx remix cd, which now that I think about it would probably be pretty awesome...
