After seven albums, the Black Keys guitarist/singer has strayed away from his drummer Patrick Carney (at least for an album) - his solo debut Keep It Hid just came out last week via Nonesuch. If you’ve heard the Keys’ garage/blues-rock, Keep It Hid is more in the same realm. Needless to say, it’s pretty good.

The 2009 Langerado Music Festival has been cancelled due to sluggish ticket sales. Whether it was the ailing economy or the decision to move the festival to Miami and make it non-camping (I’m sure it was the latter), it’s a disappointment. These were the artists that were scheduled to perform.
