Actually liked the cornucopia effect of the compilation artists. Feist is always a favorite for the sheer sophisticated angst of her sound but really enjoyed the piece by Sufjan Steven which took a few fresh turns.

Bye the bye; the link for Nick Drake is not working.

Paul,
We were late finding out about the free streaming on MySpace, as I'm sure many readers were. I reported on it when I found out (see post from 1/20), but we wanted people (like us) who didn't hear about the free streaming to take advantage of it. And as Rad said in his post, these tracks are freely available on the internet, so we're just spreading the word and making it easier for people. You make a very good point, but we feel that even after downloading these tracks, it is still worth it to buy the album.

Not cool man. Why would people go out and buy a benefits comp (where the proceeds go to CHARITY!) when you've provided half the songs here? Instead, link to the compilation MySpace, where they are streaming a song a day. http://www.myspace.com/darkwasthenight
