Whitest Boy Alive Ready For Round Two

Erlend Øye of Kings of Convenience and his German cohorts have been recording the follow-up to their 2006 debut album Dreams. The band is going all-natural on this one. According to a recent interview with Fact Magazine, all of the songs on the album are being recorded live with no overdubs or special effects added. Apparently, the band feels that "nothing is added which cannot be played live".

They have been hard at work (or maybe at play) at their newly built studio near the beach in Punta Burros, Nayarit, Mexico. The album, entitled Rules, is named after the fact that each song on the record describes a rule.

Count on Rules to come out March 3rd on their own label, Bubbles Records.
