Interscope Denies NIN Tour Film
| by Mark Jackson on December 7th, 2008 |

We all know Trent Reznor hates the music industry, and now more than ever Nine Inch Nails fans have reason to concur: Interscope has recently denied a DVD documenting the band's epic "Lights in the Sky" tour, which Reznor called "FOR SURE the best show of the year" after excusing himself of a Kanye West moment.
The plans for a film were scrapped for "two critical reasons" says Reznor via a post on the NIN website: "One was to approach a certain record company that owns some of the song rights about producing/funding. The second was to allow said company to fuck around as usual for months before saying um... no."
More bad news: "The shows we have announced in 2009 and any more that may be announced will be a completely different approach with some different personnel and will likely be the last for the foreseeable future." Pitchfork warns fans of a hiatus, but wait a sec. Reznor's ties to the music industry have finally been snapped and he's been unleashing his music virtually non-stop ever since, so it looks to me like NIN are going strong... Not to mention drummer Ilan Rubin just left Lostprophets for NIN full-time.
